Welcome to the City of Owensboro's Brownfields Program. The City of Owensboro was selected in April 2008 as a recipient of $600,000 in federal funds from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to clean up three properties located in the heart of Owensboro's downtown area.

Hazardous substance funding will be used to clean up the former Jackson's Pronto Cleaners from dry cleaning chemicals and by-products found in the site soil and groundwater, as well as two adjacent properties.

This website provides an overview of the status of the cleanup project, where you can find information on latest news and announcements as well as details of upcoming public meetings. Check this website regularly to learn about recent developments.
