Richland County Highlights Improvements in Ridgewood Community

During “Ridgewood Alive” Event Thursday, April 16th

Summary: Richland County and the Ridgewood Barony Association presents “Ridgewood Alive” , Thursday, April 16th at 6:00pm at Grace Church, 5100 Monticello road. The event will feature a tour of homes and exhibits of the projects commissioned by the office of Community Development in partnership with the Benedict- Allen Community Development Corporation.

*Prior to this effort, the community had no new housing stock since the mid 1970’s Ridgewood Alive is an opportunity to demonstrate the impact that federal community development block grants can have a community and the the event underscores the need to preserve CDBG funding in the future. Since 2002, the Richland County Office of Community Development has received a total of 109 million dollars in Federal CDBG Funds, which it has invested in infrastructure, affordable housing and in community needs.
