City Initiates Additional Environmental Assessments

Summary: Additional environmental site assessments begin.

The City's contractor CTC along with Porter Scientific have initiated environmental site assessments at targeted properties in East Central Durham.

A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is underway at the property located on Angier Avenue. This assessment is slated to include soil and groundwater sampling across the property. More property specific information can be found under the "Properties" section of this website.

Additionally, two Phase I Environmental Site Assessmenta are underway at properties located on Plum Avenue and Liberty Street. These Phase I assessments are more historical in nature, and include title and record searches, interviews, and site walkdowns.
