Former Greenville Produce Address: Property Description: The site consists of two adjacent parcels and is located in an area of current and past commercial and industrial land use. The western parcel was first developed in approximately 1898 for barrel making (a cooper shop). By 1911, the property was being used for an ice and coal business. A former structure on the eastern parcel was utilized as an Orange Crush brand bottling works in the 1920s and used for furniture storage in the 1940s. Since approximately 1976 until three or four years ago, Greenville Produce utilized the current building on the western parcel for product storage and distribution, while the eastern parcel was vacant. Former Greenville Theater Address: Property Description: The site consists of a single parcel which contains a former movie theater building and is located in the central business district of Greenville. Current and past land use is predominantly commercial and retail. The current building structure was constructed in approximately 1913 as a movie house. Former Imperial Tobacco Facility Address: Property Description: The site formerly consisted of an industrial tobacco warehouse and processing facility. Early in 2009, a fire damaged the property and destroyed most of the former three-story brick structure. The site is located in a highly developed portion of Greenville with some of its development in the area dating back to the later part of the 1800s. The subject site and surrounding properties are developed with a mix of commercial and single family residential land use.  More information...
Former Pugh's Tire Service Center Address: Property Description: A Phase I ESA was completed at this property in April 2010 as part of the city's brownfields program. The subject property was developed as a tobacco warehouse in the early 1920’s and then converted to
tire and automobile service in the late 1960’s. Past owners/occupants have included Smith Tobacco
Warehouse, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Colony Tire, and Pugh’s Tire Service until late 2009. The
building is currently vacant.
