About
CTC Public Benefit Corporation is a nonprofit, professional services firm that specializes in creating and sustaining regional and local partnerships focusing on economic development. PBC was established as an independent and self-governing affiliate of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) in 2002. Since its inception as an affiliate, PBC’s partnerships have created innovative new economic development and workforce development initiatives. As such, PBC’s Brownfields team specializes in securing and implementing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Grants which enable our clients to assess, remediate, and redevelop brownfield properties.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
We offer a level of EPA brownfield experience unmatched by any other organization in the Southeast - PBC has managed over
50 EPA assessment and cleanup brownfield grant programs throughout the region. Our twelve years of specialized experience with the EPA Brownfields Program
ensures tasks are completed swiftly and correctly the first time. We help clients avoid the cost of overcoming the steep learning curves of
less experienced project managers. Our specialized experience maximizes the grant funds spent on assessing properties and cleaning up sites.
TURN-KEY APPROACH:
PBC
has the capabilities to manage all facets of an EPA Brownfields Grant program.
Our technical approach, refined over the past decade, covers
community outreach activities, brownfields inventories, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, cleanup and redevelopment planning, health
monitoring, cleanup activities oversight and management, and program administration. We combine cutting-edge strategies and technologies with proven
management processes to maximize the impact
of your brownfields grant. We offer a turn-key solution for clients that wish to utilize EPA grants as a launching pad to develop a sustainable
Brownfield Redevelopment Program with the ability to leverage other sources of funding to achieve your ultimate redevelopment goals.
LONG-TERM CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:
As a nonprofit, PBC is more interested in your success than a bottom line. We will help you, just as we have
assisted numerous communities throughout the region, apply for EPA Brownfields Grants at no charge and under no obligation. We concentrate on
developing beneficial environmental and economic programs for you rather than just performing environmental assessments on properties. Through our
commitment and experience, we ensure you are able to leverage all available resources to return brownfield properties to productive use. By
taking a long-term approach, our projects consistently achieve tangible results such as environmental cleanup, greenspace development, property development
and job creation.
SUCCESSFUL IN SECURING GRANT FUNDING:
Every year, PBC helps communities throughout the Southeast and across the country apply for brownfields grant funding from
the EPA. Our client success rate on EPA grant programs has averaged 65% over the past four years compared to a national average of approximately 38%. In addition, we have a 99% success rate in
securing follow-on funding for our clients from the EPA, such as for additional assessment grants, cleanup grants, and revolving loan funds. We
also help clients leverage other federal, state, and private funds to accomplish their brownfields redevelopment goals. This dedicated approach
ensures that grant dollars are leveraged to achieve the highest possible outcomes for local communities – turning contaminated properties into
productive sites.
